Silvia has been guiding and instructing for 20 years and she has been climbing at high standard for more than 30 years.

"I am an active climber and an enthusiastic mountaineering & rock climbing instructor.
I like all the rock climbing disciplines and enjoy doing them in a variety of venues; that is why I guide in the mountains and crags of North Wales & Spain.
I teach many of the courses myself and I also have help from a great team of fully qualified instructors who I know well and trust.
Together we are the Rock Climbing Company; you will be in excellent hands!"
Certifications
Silvia is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors ID:24350 and the Mountain Training Association, reg number ID:53114.
These are the representative bodies for professionally qualified mountaineering instructors in the British Isles. These organisations ensure the continuous professional development of all their members and promote best practice in mountaineering instruction.
Silvia is also qualified as a Physical Education and Modern Languages Teacher. She is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian. Formal Spanish tuition can be offered on demand and conversation practice is always available if you need to brush up on your Spanish!
History
1991
In 1991 Silvia represented South America in the International Event “Climb for the World” -that was organized by United Nations, UK-. Silvia climbed the north face of the Eiger in Switzerland.
1994
In 1994 she was the British Indoor Climbing Champion and became a member of the British Indoor Climbing Team for three years.
1997
In 1997 she won the International Competition ‘Escalade’ in Sidney, Australia.
2006
In 2006, Silvia red pointed her hardest sport route: ‘El Oraculo’ 8b, in El Chorro in Malaga province of Spain.
2010
In 2010, she was invited to Buckingham Palace in London to a reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth. This was in recognition of the people who had contributed to the development of Adventure Sports & Activities in Europe and the UK.
2021
In 2021, Silvia climbed the amazing route "Staring at the Sun", (E7 6c) on the beautiful 'Painted Wall' of Rhoscolyn, Anglesey.
