Multi Activity Holidays in Spain
We offer multi-activity days or holidays to those who want to enjoy a variety of exciting sports in a beautiful natural environment. There are a wide range of activities available in the area including mountain walking, scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling, horse riding, mountain biking and even beach days with water sports.
Skiing is also possible in the Sierra Nevada between the end of November and the end of April. In 2007/8 the Sierra Nevada above Granada was the first area to open or skiing in Spain and consistently had better conditions than the Pyrenees
You can choose some or all of the activities according to your interests, the weather or personal circumstances.
Our base is Villanueva del Rosario, a pretty village in the hills that are 35km north of Malaga in the province of Andalucia. The village lies 700m above sea level and is a great place to escape the summer heat
The extensive hills of the Jobo and Camarolos Sierras behind the village allow some quite extensive hiking and for the more adventurous some great scrambling on solid limestone. The highest peak in the area is El Chamizo and there is a summit log that can be signed by those who make it all the way.
There are five described routes for walkers in the immediate area behind the village; Tosquilla, Tajos, Chamizo and Las Fuentes I and II, all of which give the visitor a chance to take in the natural beauty of the area. Details of these routes can be obtained from us or from the Casa de Oficios “Rivera del Cerezo” (T: +34 952 742 547). There are a lot more impromptu walks possible and we have a full collection of detailed local maps for those who want to explore the area off the beaten track. These are the hard to obtain military maps and are the only Spanish equivalent to the UK 1:25000 series
The mountain biking is awesome and endless with trails for all abilities.
Dates and duration of the courses are by arrangement and totally customisable. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
